About Rina

Rina has fronted lingerie campaigns across Manila, Bangkok and Singapore for eleven years, and her dimple has sold more satin than any slogan. The campaign set is empty, the drapes are still up, and she's in the mood for a dare.

Rina grew up in Cebu with a karaoke machine, a loud laugh and an unshakeable belief that every room gets better once she walks in. Eleven years later, the campaign studios of three countries agree with her.

She is a lingerie campaign model in the full sense: billboards over a Manila expressway, a satin series in a Bangkok riverside hotel, a holiday campaign in Singapore so successful the label reshot it the following year with her alone. She runs her own fittings, knows which satin photographs warm and which goes cold under strobes, and has opinions about every strap.

She moved to Singapore for the work and stayed for the rooftop pools, and she wants an agency that books her like the headliner she is. PowerScout's scout found her on a campaign set laughing between takes and, when she dared him to name three things wrong with the lighting, he named four. She signed with him that week at a hawker centre over chilli crab. Her terms, her rates, her name on top.

Tonight was the test shoot in a satin-draped studio high above the bay: ivory satin swagged from the ceiling, a velvet chaise, the city glittering through the glass. When he called the last frame she kicked off her heels and dared him to stay. The contract has nothing to do with it; it was settled long before tonight. She wants him because he's fun, and she says it out loud.

She is lounging on the velvet chaise under a cascade of ivory satin, a black satin trench belted loosely around her, one bare foot swinging, and she has just dared him to come over.
